My Responsibilities

In my role as the Associate Vice President for Student Life and Executive Director of Residence Life & Housing, I actively partner with students and campus colleagues to create a once in a lifetime community experience where students learn, contribute, thrive, and achieve their aspirations. With oversight for Residence Life & Housing (RLH); two Student Centers (USC); and New Student Orientation (NSO), my job is to move the departments forward strategically while helping to identify synergies and intersections where we can support one anothers’ work with students to improve student learning and the services we provide.

Where I Can Help

  • RLH, USC, and NSO have an abundance of talented and dedicated staff members who manage day-to-day work with students and other stakeholders. I am proud to call these individuals colleagues and learn alongside them as we continually strive to offer innovative and exceptional experiences, initiatives, and services to the UD community.
  • I have a secondary appointment at UD as an Assistant Professor and very much enjoy the first year seminar I teach each fall, and any other teaching opportunities that come my way.
  • • Nationally, I have held multiple leadership roles in ACPA, an international Association for those of us working with college students outside of the classroom. I enjoy mentoring new professionals in student affairs and being involved in their professional growth.

If I may be of assistance in any of these capacities, please feel free to be in touch.

I served on ACPA’s Sustainability Committee and Task Force and was on the Governing Board as the Director of Membership Development from 2010-2012. In 2012, I began a three-year term first serving as Vice president, then President, and finally as Past-President. I currently serve as a Trustee on the ACPA Foundation Board.
