Interested in returning to the University of Delaware?

Information on readmission is found in the University Catalog:  Loading...

To proceed, you will need your UD ID number or username and password.
If you do not know your UD ID number/username and/or password, please call the Registrar’s Office at 302-831-2131.

Please review the information below before completing the application.

  1. A $40.00 non-refundable fee is required with the application.
  2. The deadline to submit the readmission application is before the first day of the semester/term for which the student is applying. (See academic calendar dates.)
  3. Decisions are made based on the student's academic record/grades at the time the application is submitted.
  4. There is no guarantee of admission into the academic program in which a student was previously enrolled. Restricted majors will often have additional GPA requirements for readmission consideration. Consult the college to which you are seeking readmission for further information concerning specific academic requirements for readmission eligibility. Contact information can be found here.
  5. Some academic departments have additional requirements for readmission such as an audition or interview. You will be contacted if you have selected a major from one of those departments.
  6. The application for readmission cannot be submitted with any hold on a student’s record, including financial holds or disciplinary holds. If a student was separated from the University for disciplinary reasons, he or she needs to contact the Office of Student Conduct to verify eligibility before the readmission application may be submitted. Any financial obligations to the University of Delaware must be satisfied before the readmission application can be reviewed. The student may contact Student Financial Services concerning this obligation at (302) 831-2126.
  7. If a student has attended any other institution since their last enrollment at the University of Delaware, the student will need to include course information and have official transcripts submitted to the Office of the University Registrar.
  8. International students requiring an eligibility document may submit their request to the Office for International Students and Scholars. Any questions regarding this process should be directed to OISS at or 302-831-2115.
  9. Students will be informed of the decision by way of an email from the Office of the University Registrar. While decision times can vary, most applicants receive a readmission decision within 2-3 weeks from their application date.
