We are so happy you have decided to come to the University of Delaware! Orientation events will be happening on campus throughout the week for new international students. Please read below to determine which events you must attend. These events are designed to help you transition to UD and the U.S. and to complete government check-in so you can be registered in SEVIS. ALL International Students
International Student Orientation (ISO) will be held on Friday, August 23 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in Trabant University Center. This orientation is mandatory for all incoming international students. We recommend that you arrive a couple of days prior to this date.
Two hospitality spaces will be available for those arriving on Wednesday, August 21 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in either Perkins Student Center or Christiana Commons. Choose the one closest to your residence. Please check your UD email regularly for further details on pre-arrival and orientation.
Your first day of undergraduate New Student Orientation (NSO) will be held on Thursday, August 22 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in Trabant University Center. Learn more and register for NSO. Undergraduate students may be required to take placement examinations or attend special meetings for new students. Questions about such requirements or about other details of your academic program should be addressed directly to your program office. Admission and degree requirements are explained in the UD catalog.
To apply for early Housing check-in, log into your My Housing portal and complete the Early Arrival Fall 2019 application beginning in July. Please be sure to check your UD email regularly in the days prior to your arrival for key information regarding your housing placement and how to check in upon your arrival to the University of Delaware. All new international graduate students are required to attend New Graduate Student Orientation on Tuesday, August 20 at 8:00 a.m. in Clayton Hall. For more details, check your UD email and visit The Graduate College website.
All GAs, RAs, and TAs must do their on-boarding by the morning of Friday, August 23, BEFORE ISO.
