Happy New Year to our UD community! My wife, Eleni, and I hope you had a safe, restful and fulfilling holiday break with your families and friends.

As we embark on a new year filled with hope and promise, I reflect on what makes the University of Delaware such a special place. Our ability to work together, pioneer innovation, turn challenges into opportunities, and make bold advances across multiple disciplines is core to who we are.

I am so grateful for your spirit of cooperation, resilience and dedication to advance our mission and strengthen UD, while at the same time driving positive change in the world. We have made significant progress in 2024 and are well positioned to continue to excel in 2025. Some of the highlights of 2024 are captured in this inspiring year-in-review celebration of our students, faculty, staff and broader community.

As we plan for the future and strive for continued success, we should embrace holistically the transformative power of the arts, the keen insights of the humanities, and the endless possibilities of the sciences. Together, we can catalyze novel solutions to the most vexing problems. Above all, we should never lose sight that our world is — and needs to remain — a human-centered one, built around the connections that we forge with each other.

Eleni and I are so proud to be part of the vibrant University of Delaware community, and we are excited about the many opportunities ahead. We wish you a healthy, happy and successful new year!
