October xx, 2016

To the University of Delaware Community:

As we communicated in May, plans are underway to enhance our University of Delaware 403(b) Retirement Plan with a refined investment lineup, enhanced services and expanded advice and education as we transition to TIAA as our single administrative service provider. As we continue to progress in the transition, we want to keep you informed of the implementation timeline and upcoming changes.

The launch of the new retirement plan, originally scheduled winter 2017, has been postponed until summer 2017 due to multiple organizational priorities. Throughout the process, we remain committed to aligning the appropriate resources for each initiative to ensure a successful and seamless implementation.

Next steps:

• Review the Frequently Asked Questions for answers to immediate questions that you may have about upcoming retirement plan changes.

• Attend one of the brief information and education sessions scheduled in October and November at the Newark, Lewes, and Georgetown campuses. Please visit the Retirement Transition webpage for dates and times. No registration is required to attend these sessions.

• Schedule a one-on-one counseling session with Fidelity or TIAA. Available dates and contact information are available on the benefits page.

If you have questions, please call TIAA at 800-842-2252. Consultants are available weekdays, 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Saturdays, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. (ET).

The University of Delaware remains committed to offering you a leading retirement plan with resources and services to help you create the future you want.

Sincerely,

Tom LaPenta
