Ed Tech IV

Web Site Review Oral Reports

Instructions

  1. As early in the semester as possible, choose a partner from your section of the class and select which discipline area (Math, Science, or Social Studies) the web site you review will relate to. Send your instructor (mbrooks@udel.edu) e-mail listing you and your partner's names, section number, and discipline area. There can only be at most 5 reports per section for each of the discipline areas. These selections will be approved on a first-come, first-served basis, using the time and date state stamp on the e-mail message. If all slots for your selected area and section are filled, your instructor will reply to your e-mail informing you that you will need to select another area. Very soon after receiving the information on your selection, the instructor will add you and your partner's names to the list on the on-line version of the syllabus.

  2. As soon as possible, you and your partner should select the web site you plan to review. Send the name and URL for your selection to your instructor by e-mail. Again, these will be approved in the order they are received, and the name and link to your web site will be added to the syllabus.

  3. Your oral reports can take no longer than 8 minutes, since five may be given in one 50-minute period. You and your partner should plan together how to divide up the work. Expect to be able to use the computer in the WHL324 classroom to browse your selected web site, showing briefly its most interesting features. You should practice your report in advance to be sure that everything is working correctly and that you can cover everything in the specified time.
