The University of Delaware Marching Band

There are approximately 150 student members in the 1994 edition of the Delaware Marching Band, made up of approximately 120 instrumentalists and 30 auxiliary. Our marching style is called "heel-toe" so you won't see us high-stepping on the football field. We're not a "scramble" band - we (generally) don't run around the field looking like idiots. (No offense to the scramble band-lovers out there.)

Marching Band is a one-credit course offered every fall semester. Rehearsals are usually two hours long on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. The past season (1994) we performed three different shows. We perform these shows at all home football games and a few away football games. Every year, the band goes on a weekend trip to another school to perform the show. This year we went to the University of Richmond.
