Managing E-Mail

Did you know that space for e-mail is a shared resource? If you do not regularly save your mail, but leave it in your inbox, you may make it impossible for ANYONE to receive mail. When the shared space is full, large inboxes may be permanently deleted so that mail can be processed. Therefore, always save your mail after you read it, either to the read-mail folder or to specific folders that you create.

Electronic mail messages MUST be removed from your personal inbox after you read them. In order for reliable e-mail service to be maintained it may be necessary to delete centrally located mailboxes that are being used to store previously read messages.
