A Message from the Chair

Bill Farquhar

This is an exciting time for the academic and professional fields related to kinesiology and applied physiology. With increasing understanding of the myriad benefits of a healthy lifestyle – coupled with nationwide attention focused on widespread health problems such as obesity, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, osteoporosis, and osteoarthritis – there is an abundance of opportunity and challenge for newly educated professionals in our fields.

Our nationally known faculty are energetically dedicated to student success. They involve both undergraduate and graduate students in their research on topics such as hypertension, osteoarthritis, chronic kidney disease, stroke, autism, ankle instability, and sport and rehabilitation biomechanics. We offer a rich array of strong undergraduate and graduate programs, with student access to state-of-the-art research laboratories, nationwide internship programs, and culturally enriching study abroad experiences.

If you have questions or would like more information about one of our programs, please contact our Academic Support Specialist, JoAnn Ciuffetelli or (302) 831-4909.

We would be delighted to hear from you!
