Title:
Campus Information Technology Associate II

Reports to: Carol Anderer (canderer@udel.edu)

  • College of Marine Studies Support:
    • Provide guidence on where the college should be moving with technology
    • Recommend and purchase new systems
    • Troubleshoot and repair hardware
    • Recommend and purchase new software packages, maintain licenses
    • Maintain network connections and configure MS networking

  • User Education:
    • Teach seminars on using operating systems, applications, internet related issues, and effective use of the LAN.
    • Provide one-on-one training for special needs (thesis prep, presentations, web page developemnt).

  • Cannon Computing Site Administrator:
    • Maintain NT Server with Windows 95 and MacOS clients
    • Update and maintain licenses for site software
    • Maintain site hardaware (PCs, Macs, X-terminals and printers)
    • Maintain security and track usage of site

  • Interactive Television Technician:
    • Maintain RealVideo server and web based teaching applications
    • Recommend and oversee upgrades and additions to an Interactive television classroom
    • Control cameras and system during guest seminars and meetings
    • Educate faculty and students on how to effectively use the technology for teaching
    • Support digital materials (graphics and multimedia) preparation for classes and seminars
