Marathon, Half-Marathon, 10K & 5K
Carpenter Rec. Area, Rt. 896
White Clay Creek State Park
Newark, Delaware

Here are more or less final results--major sloppiness in reg. and timing procedures, complicated by rain, meant I had to reconstruct a lot of results by hand. Thanks for your patience. A few half-marathoners and some 5K finishers are missing times; if you know your finish time and want it posted, please email me.

Medals: We don't make a big deal over awards, but if you won an award, missed the presentation and still want it, send a self-addressed envelope with 60 cents postage on it to John Mackenzie, 711 Fiske Lane, Newark, DE 19711, and I will mail it to you.

I apologize for several logistical problems that occurred during the even: survey flags removed from the course, including flags indicating critical turns; missing both flags and marshal at the top of the 10K so a lot of people went off course at that turn. The water stations were to switch to self-serve, not "find your own water," at noon, some marathoners struggled wtih dehydration. We went 7 years with no serious injuries, but this year we had three significant injuries and multiple people breaking down with hypothermia this year. I appreciate the fact that you came out to support our cause. This year's event was dedicated to the memory of my wife, she would have laughed about the mud. I promise a much tighter, safer, funner Triple Crown next year. A big thanks to the dozens of great volunteers who gave their time and effort to this cause. Thank you and God bless you all.

All races start and finish at the pavilion at the W.S. Carpenter Rec. Area of White Clay Creek State Park.
Directions: Take I-95 to Delaware Exit 1 (896N); follow Rt. 896 through downtown Newark;
W.S. Carpenter Recreation Area is on Rt. 896 about 2 miles north of town on the right.
The park has toilets, phone, covered pavilion, picnic tables with BBQ's, plenty of parking....
All races start and finish by the pavilion.  Bring lawn chairs to relax and enjoy the day!

Premiums and emoluments:  Finisher medals for all marathon survivors.  Commemorative runnin' dawg coffee mug for Triple-Crown finishers and first 100 half-marathon finishers.  Lots of free post-race refreshments plus a Survivors' lunch for all participants and volunteers starting at noon.   (Suggestion: bring lawn chairs--they're a lot more comfortable than the park's picnic benches!)

Medals: M&F overall and master (40+) winners plus 1st places in 10-year age-groups for each of five events (marathon, half, 10K, 5K and Triple Crown); 1st place open, women, master and corporate Triple Crown teams; 1st place 5K walkers ... 90+ medal categories in all.

Note: Registration does not include a T-shirt (you probably have enough t-shirts already), but runners who pre-register can order cool runnin' dawg t-shirts for $10 each.   Shirt orders should be submitted with your registration; we will only have a few extra shirts to sell on race day.

Courses are not USATF certified distances, but we guarantee at least the mileage promised!
