How Much Disk Space is Currently Allocated to You?

The UNIX command  quota -v will provide the information needed for the next items with the exception of hsm.
(The values will be displayed in kilobytes and should be converted to megabytes (1 megabyte = 1024 kilobytes)  for the following items.)

Current quota:
     For the filesystem containing your  home directory):
        /home/base/usrc:  megabytes

     For other fileservers::
     Mark a check for each relevant fileserver and also type your disk quota on that fileserver.

/home/base/usrb  megabytes
/home/base/usrd  megabytes
/hsm/users
megabytes *

          * If you do do not know the exact value, estimate to within 100mb (e.g., 50mb, 100mb, 200mb, etc.).

How Much Disk Space Do You Need?

Disk quota requests often have two components: (1) space for frequently changed files, and (2) space for archival or relatively stable files.  If your disk quota increase exceeds 50 Mbytes, please note below how many megabytes of this increase is for category 2, the archival/stable files.  (This portion will be assigned space on the HSM, Hierarchical Storage Manager, system.)

I request a total disk allocation (including my current quota allocation) of:  megabytes.
(Note: 1 Megabyte = 1024 Kilobytes.)

If the increase in your total allocation request exceeds 50 megabytes, how much of that can be assigned to space on the HSM for archival/stable files?  megabytes
