Bugzilla: Attach a file to a bug report

  1. Find the bug report that you want to edit. Files can only be attached after the initial report has been created.

    If you know the bug number:

    • Find the yellow box at the bottom of a Bugzilla screen.

    • Enter the number in the field called bug #.

    • Click the Find button.

    If you don't know the bug number, there are several ways to find your bug.

    • Click the bug link in one of the Bugzilla emails that you have received.

    • Click the My Bugs link in the yellow box at the bottom of a Bugzilla screen, and then scan the list for the bug number you want.

    • Search for bugs / Create a query

  2. Click on the Create a New Attachment link to view the Create New Attachment page. View Edit bug image

  3. Complete the Create New Attachment form. View Create New Attachment image

    • File: Click the Browse button and select the file you want to attach.

    • Description: Enter a short descriptive name for the file.

    • Content Type: Check the auto-detect radio button

    • Obsoletes: (optional) Check each existing attachment that you want to delete.

    • Comment: (optional) Add a comment about the attachment to the bug.

  4. Click the Submit button.

After you click Submit, the Changes Submitted page will be presented. View Changes Submitted image To edit your report, click the bug number in the box at the top of the page. To change pages, click on a link in the yellow box at the bottom of the screen.
