Kevin Dobson is a Research Associate at the Institute of Energy Conversion at the University of Delaware. He received his Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Otago, Dunedin, New Zealand in 1997.

His doctoral research involved the investigation of adsorption to metal oxides using infrared spectroscopic techniques. In 1998, Dr. Dobson was employed as a Research Fellow at the University of Otago, investigating adsorption processes and the chemical reactivity of activated carbons using spectroscopic techniques.

In 1999, he began a Post-Doctoral Fellowship at the Weizmann Institute of Science, Rehovot, Israel, investigating contacting and stability aspects of CdTe/CdS solar cells. Dr. Dobson joined the Institute of Energy Conversion in March 2001 where he is participating in research regarding the performance and stability of CdTe/CdS solar cells, electrodeposition of Cu(In,Ga)Se2 films for device processing and chemical treatments of solar devices. He has authored 22 technical papers, 9 conference papers and 2 patents.
