All participants in the Ice Skating Summer Camp MUST HAVE TURNED 6 by the start of camp.

Camp is open to all skating ability.

Camp is under the Direction of Isabella Cannuscio & Christie Moxley.

Isabella is the University of Delaware Learn to Skate Coordinator. She is a USFSA Gold Medalist in Ice Dance and Moves in the Field, and a member of the PSA. She was a National Competitor from 2003-2014 and an International Competitor from 2007-2011. "Even though I am retired from the sport, I am still involved in U.S. Figure Skating through committees, as well as a member of the UDFSC Board.

Christie has been a part of the University of Delaware figure skating program for over 28 years. She began in skating in the learn to skate program and went on to compete at the Sectional level in Freestyle, National level in pairs and International level in ice dancing. Christie has been coaching for over 17 years. She enjoys coaching all disciplines and levels and has worked with skaters at the National, International and Junior World level. Christie has served on the UDFSC board as well as numerous USFS committees. In addition, she holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Delaware in Health and Exercise Sciences.

This camp will focus on introducing the basic skills to those that have never skated or those who have taken lessons before, as well as working on skills/jump/spins for more experienced skaters. In addition to the on ice classes; the campers will work on team building activities, art and crafts and time at the UD Outdoor Pool. The classes are designed for ALL skating abiliites as classes are divided by age and skill level.

The camp is held in the Fred Rust Ice Arena from June 17-21, July 29-August 2 and August 12-16, 2019. The camp hires the talents of the local UD skating community including professional coaches form the University of Delaware High Performance Figure Skating Center.

What you will need to bring:
Skates (can also be rented if needed at no additional cost)
Skating attire (athletic apparel, pants/warm layers, tights and skating specific attire are all acceptable)
Gloves, mittens, warm layers of clothes
Gym clothes, including, shorts, t-shirt and sneakers.
Swim suit, towel, sun screen
Daily lunch (except on Friday), along with morning and afternoon snack. Water bottle is also recommended.
*Pizza and subs will be provided on Friday for each series for lunch (own drinks and snacks need to be provided).

All participants in the Ice Skating Summer Camp MUST have turned AGE 6 by the first day of Camp. Camp begins each day at 8am and ends at 4pm.

Cancellation and Refund Policy for 2019:

1.     Cancelling a registration prior to the Friday before the first day of camp will result in a refund minus a $50.00 service fee.

2.     Refunds will not be given for absences.

3.     Refunds will not be given after a session has begun, unless for a documented medical emergency.
