Since the COVID-19 pandemic hit, University leadership has made decisions with a focus on health and safety and the mitigation of risk.  With that in mind, the University will keep the ice arenas closed to the public at this time.
University leaders remain focusing on mitigating the risks to the entire University community and at this time has decided to limit outside visitors to campus facilities until further notice.

Given the changing nature of this pandemic, we are unable to predict when the ice arenas will reopen and will revisit the status decision at a later date.
Please remember you can find any and all COVID-19 updates on the University of Delaware Coronavirus website
As we continue to navigate the entire campus reopening, please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns you might have by contacting us at

The Free Skate Classes are designed to work on all aspects of skating. During the first 30 minutes of class, the skaters will work on moves in the field, spins, dance/footwork sequences, and jumps. Our Free Skate Classes are a great way for a skater to learn the basics and to build a strong foundation to grow from, whether that be for recreational reasons or competitive.

During the second 30 minutes of class, we will be offering an Introductory Class. The Class will change each week, and the skater will get to learn about the many different disciplines that Figure Skating has to offer. These classes are designed to build a stronger, more well-rounded skater.

The class is arranged for 30 minutes of practice ice and 60 miniutes of class instruction.

Class Schedule: Series are 6 weeks
