University of Delaware Graduate Catalog 1995-1996 Fees and Expenses Housing The Office of Housing and Conference Services offers on-campus rooms and apartments to assist graduate students in making the transition to the University and Newark communities. All University-owned graduate housing is offered on a first-come, first-served basis based upon the date of application for housing. One- and two-bedroom apartments in the College Towne apartments and single rooms in the Graduate House on Lovett Avenue are available to single graduate students. One- and two-bedroom apartments in the Conover apartments are available to students who wish to live with their families while attending the University. Graduate students who live in University housing are not required to purchase a dining plan, although one can be purchased and used in dining halls located nearby. All University apartments and rooms for graduate students are located near the center of campus. The occupancy period for graduate housing runs from August 1 of one year through July 31 of the following year. Students may request to remain in their apartments for a second occupancy period if they will be fully matriculated throughout that academic year. The Office of Housing and Conference Services also maintains listings of privately owned rooms, apartments, and houses in the Newark area. Students can use these lists to make contact with landlords.
