Live On-Campus, GET MORE

On-Campus Housing: Don’t Settle for Less
Living on campus provides students with more opportunities to maximize their potential. Nothing can compete with the value of living in the residence halls – it’s no wonder that students who live on campus are more engaged and get better grades. The decision is simple and the benefits are endless! Students who apply by March 15th will be guaranteed housing for the academic year. View Important Upcoming Housing Dates

Shorter Distance, Longer Leisure
Students can’t be any closer to campus than right on campus. Most residence halls are located within an easy 15-minute walk of the academic buildings, and shuttle buses and Zipcars are available to take students all over UD.  Whether students need a lift to the football game or the market, there couldn't be an easier or more convenient way to explore everything the campus community has to offer.

Better value, fewer payments
No hidden costs – forget monthly payments, landlords, and utility fees! The residence halls provide everything students need in ONE package. Get a quality high-speed internet connection, recycling, trash, utilities, cable, a gym membership, private study lounges, and shuttle bus access with ONE simple payment.

Reduce Work, Increase Convenience
Be sure your student spends his or her physical energy on what matters. Whether students are taking advantage of the healthy dining facilities, fitness areas, kitchens, on-site laundry machines, or quick and reliable public transportation, the only thing they'll need to worry about is how to finish their work on time.

Reduce Stress, Improve Grades
You can’t argue with this equation: We’ve done the math and proved that students who live in the residence halls have higher GPAs. It’s obvious why students who live on campus excel in the classroom: flexible living options + spacious study facilities = happier students and higher grades.

Bigger Community, Better Opportunities
Living on campus makes it so easy to get involved, meet new people, and fully take advantage of student life. With almost 300 student organizations to join, it’s simple for students to explore their passions and stay up-to-date with everything on campus.

Maximize Security, Minimize Worry
All residence halls are locked 24 hours a day and have an advanced security system featuring door alarms and a key card entry system. Other features include door locks, ground-level security screens, smoke detectors and sprinklers. Surrounding pathways are well-lit, and 24-hour surveillance cameras monitor the residential grounds. For emergencies, students can access the blue light phones which will put them in direct contact with Public Safety.
