My current research interests include the following in no particular order of preference:
Subsurface stratigraphy and tectonics of the Atlantic Coastal Plain with emphasis on Delaware and adjacent areas;
Study of the geologic history of the U. S. Atlantic continental margin with emphasis on buried early Mesozoic rift basins and the petroleum potential of these basins and successor basins, e.g. Baltimore Canyon trough;
Biostratigraphy (foraminifers, radiolarians, diatoms);
Investigation of the relationship of the marine Quaternary sedimentary record of the Atlantic margin, based on micropaleontological studies (foraminifers, radiolarians), to the land climatic record revealed by fossil pollen studies and to sea level fluctuations.
My expertise is in micropaleontology (foraminifers and radiolarians) with emphasis on biostratigraphy and paleoenvironmental analysis and subsurface geologic methods including geophysical log correlation, analysis of borehole rock samples, and interpretation of seismic reflection profiles.
Other areas of expertise are petroleum GEOLOGY, general stratigraphy, and sedimentary basin analysis.
