Subject: Winter and Spring 2014 Course Scheduling Advice

Greetings to all ed tech graduate students at the University of Delaware!

I am writing to provide you with course scheduling advice for the
upcoming Winter session and Spring semester of 2014. As always, you
should check with your advisor each semester to confirm that your
course selection is in line with your particular program. This course
advisory contains sections for master’s and doctoral students,
respectively.

           ===Courses for M.Ed. Students===

All M.Ed. students must take either EDUC 600, Teacher as Researcher,
or EDUC 607, Educational Research Procedures. In the Spring of
2014, EDUC 600 is being offered.

From the ed tech specialty, all M.Ed. students must take the following
course that is being offered in the Spring of 2014:

EDUC 685 Multimedia Literacy

In the Winter of 2014, the following ed tech elective is being offered:

EDUC 639 EPUB for Mobile Learning

In the Spring of 2014, the following ed tech electives are being offered:

EDUC 621 Internet Technologies
EDUC 692 Educational Technology Capstone

From the ed tech specialty, all M.Ed. students must take EDUC 650,
Technology and Cognition, which is normally taught in the Spring.
In lieu of EDUC 650, M.Ed. students who need to take EDUC 650
in Spring 2014 may instead enroll in the following course with its
instructor's permission (email cmouza@udel.edu for permission):

EDUC 815 Design of Learning Environments

           ===Courses for Ed.D. Students===

All Ed.D. students are required to take EDUC 891, Organizational
Problem Analysis. This course is being offered in the Winter of 2014.

All Ed.D. students are required to take EDUC 818, Educational
Technology Foundations. This course is being offered in the Winter
of 2014.

All Ed.D. students are required to take EDUC 827, Analysis of
Secondary Data for Decision Making. This course is being offered
in the Spring of 2014.

All Ed.D. students are required to take EDUC 863, Program Evaluation.
This course is being offered in the Spring of 2014.

All Ed.D. students are required to take EDUC 860, Curriculum Theory,
or EDUC 897, Curriculum Planning and Design. In the Spring of 2014,
EDUC 897 is being taught.

All Ed.D. students are required to take EDUC 890, Leadership Theory
and Research. This course is being offered in the Spring of 2014.

Last, but certainly not least, all Ed.D. students are required to take
15 credits of electives. In the Winter of 2014, the following ed tech
specialty course is being offered:

EDUC 639 EPUB for Mobile Learning

During the Spring of 2014, the following ed tech specialty courses are
being offered:

EDUC 621 Internet Technologies
EDUC 685 Multimedia Literacy
EDUC 692 Educational Technology Capstone
EDUC 815 Design of Learning Environments
