I am writing to provide you with course scheduling advice for the upcoming Summer session and Fall semester of 2023. As always, you should check with your advisor each semester to confirm that your course selection is in line with your particular program. All EDTC Masters candidates are required to take the following courses: EDUC 611 Introduction to Educational Technology EDUC 638 Learning Technologies EDUC 685 Multimedia Literacy All three of these courses are being taught in Fall 2023, and EDUC 685 is also being offered in Summer 2023. Also in the Fall of 2023, the following electives are being offered: EDUC 639 Educational Games EDUC 656 eLearning Also in the Summer of 2023, the following ed tech special topic courses are being offered; these count as ed tech electives for EDTC degree candidates: EDUC 639-011 Teaching Computer Science EDUC 639-194 ChatGPT and AI Chatbots (online) EDUC 639-010 ChatGPT and AI Chatbots (hybrid) CS-Ed Certificate candidates must enroll in EDUC 639-011. Doctoral students who wish to elect one of the courses listed above should obtain written permission to do so (such as via email exchange) from your academic advisor prior to enrolling. Masters candidates who need to take a course in Fall 2023 that is not listed above should consult with their academic advisor for a substitute. In the meantime, I hope you will all pass your final exams and projects with flying colors and then enjoy a safe and pleasant summer. All the best, Fred Dr. Fred T.
