Workboard

The students are grouped and follow the activities from their column.  The students know they must complete the first activity in the column.  These are the activities that reinforce concepts I teach during that week or review concepts I've previously taught.  Here is an explanation of the activities. 

Journal Writing

The students' names are on the papers below the icons.  Everyday one student moves the papers to the next column.  They follow the activities in their column during the workboard block on the reading schedule.  I purposely repeat buddy reading and independent reading to give the students extra practice.
