TAPED
ROLE PLAY ASSIGNMENT
Due
Throughout the semester you will practice and present role play conversations from the Integración sections in your textbook.
The Taped Role Play assignment requires you and your partner to practice, tape record and submit one of those conversations.
The main purpose of this assigment is to provide you with feedback on your pronunciation and intonation (50%). To a lesser extent, you will also be graded on your ability to use new vocabulary in a meaningful context (25%) and your grammatical accuracy (25%).
The role-play should be at least four minutes in length. If your conversation is less than four minutes in length, the number of points you receive in the Content & Vocabulary category will be reduced accordingly. For example, if your conversation lasts only three minutes (which is 75% of the required length), you will be eligible to receive a maximum of 18-19 points.
Label your cassette tape with both names (yours and your partner’s) and also say your names on the tape before you begin recording the role play.
You will need to turn in your script with the cassette tape. Your TR instructor will let you know if he/she wants you to type the script or if a hand-written script is acceptable.
