SPAN 106 ORAL EXAM
Wednesday, May 5th and Friday, May 7th

The oral exam consists of a personal interview (5 minutes per student) and a role play conversation (3-4 minutes per pair).  Your instructor will tape record the oral exams.

All students must work in pairs; your instructor will either assign partners or allow you to choose a partner.  Make a note of your partner's name, e-mail and phone number.

Make a note of the date, time and location of your oral exam.  If you miss your appointment and are unable to provide a credible explanation and/or actual documentation for your absence, your instructor may decide not to provide a make-up opportunity.

Your instructor will let you review your notes/discuss your topic for one minute before beginning the role play conversation but you may not use notes or reminders of any kind while doing the exam.

Your instructor will use this form (you will be graded individually):

What should I do to prepare for the personal interview?

Practice the Entrevista sections and other question/answer activities in your text.  Also review the vocabulary lists in each chapter.  Your instructor may also offer other review suggestions.

What should my partner and I do to prepare for the role-play?

Prepare/practice the four Integración topics listed below.  When you arrive for your appointment, you will choose one of the topics at random by selecting from cards on which numbers have been written.  You will present the role play topic that corresponds to the number you have drawn.
