Addition of a Minor in Nanomaterials Science and Engineering


Whereas      the existing minor in Materials Science has been popular and useful to many students, and


Whereas      the new field of nanomaterials science and engineering is the subject of considerable research activity in the University, government, and private industry for its potential to produce new products and capabilities and, thus, a benefit to our graduates, and


Whereas      the establishment of this minor will require no additional resources because many courses in this field are currently being taught, be it therefore


Resolved     that a minor in Nanomaterials Science and Engineering be established in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering.
