PreMBA program The PreMBA Program has just completed its second year. In response to changing student needs, teachers Naomi Migliacci and James Slater have developed a two-part program. The first part, called MBA Essentials, focuses on improving TOEFL and GMAT scores and emphasizes GMAT preparation, preliminary research on MBA programs and early parts of the graduate school application process.
The second part of the program is for persons who successfully complete MBA Essentials, MBA applicants with sufficiently high test scores so that GMAT preparation is not required, and business professionals with a high degree of English proficiency and business experience. This part of the PreMBA program develops more advanced skills needed for graduate study, such as reading and writing analyses of case studies, reading and listening comprehension of real world business materials, stock market simulations and advanced stages of the MBA application process. A greater number of PreMBA participants than ever before gained admission to MBA programs in the past year, including four to the University of Delaware, and others to Dartmouth, Drexel, Case Western Reserve, LaSalle, New York University and Widener University.
