Alejandra Gomez (Colombia, '98) is living with family in Miami and assembling an exhibition of PreColumbian pottery for the Graves Museum of Archaeology and Natural History.

Andrea Andrassyova (Slovakia,'95) has completed her studies at the Pedagogical faculty of Comenius University of Bratislava.

Björn Tibell (Sweden '94, '95) once again finished the 90 km Vasaloppet ski race in March despite blisters and rain. He then spent the spring semester studying in Berlin and visited his former classmate Claude Marchetti (France, '94) in Paris.

Buket Oztuna (Turkey, '97) married Dr. Sean Cox, former ELI tutor, in September 1999 in Istanbul, where Buket is working as a lawyer and Sean is a university professor.

Dae Seog Choi (Korea, '97) took a job at Lucent Technologies in the United States and is hoping to pursue an MBA.

Jumsan Kim (Korea, '97) married Hyun-Joo Choi on November 6, 1999, and is studying for a doctorate in Transportation Systems and Traffic Engineering at Seoul National University.

Jung-Eun Ho (Korea, '93) is teaching Korean to foreigners in the International Institute of Education of Kyunghee University while pursuing his doctorate in Korean Linguistics.

Ken Chou (Taiwan,'99) is using his English working for an international trade company which has a factory in mainland China and which sells outdoor equipment to England, Germany, Japan, Canada, Argentina and the United States.

Luis Fernando Carbonari (Brazil, '97) married Fabiana Portas da Luz Carbonari on March 27, 1999 and is expecting a child in January 2000.

M. Asif Gazci (Turkey, '94) is living in Turkey, has married and works for Real Company as an assistant to the category manager.

Mayra Alfaro de Moran (El Salvador, '96) has received her MBA and is working for the Presidential Commission for the Modernization of the Public Sector in El Salvador. She married Hugo Armando Moran in 1994, has a daughter and is expecting another child.

Midori Yokoyama (Japan, '98) is working in the Tokyo office of the Brazilian orange juice company Sitrosuco Paurista S.A.

Myriam Aguilar (Colombia, '98) married Fernando Moreno, Jr. on July 2, 1998. The couple reside in Astoria, New York.

Patricia de Oliveira (Brazil, '94) married Alexandre Ferraz on May 29, 1999.

Pilar Mesa (Colombia, '98) is studying for her Master's in Soil Science at the University of Delaware.

Raphaelle Autogue (France, '98) is studying multimedia design at the University of Grenoble's Technology Institute.

Rodolfo Echeverria's (Chile '99) new job as director of investment banking for Inverlink required him to work in Manhattan for several months in the fall of 1999.

Tarika Wongsinsirikul (Thailand '97) received her M.A. in Environmental and Resource Policy from George Washington University in Washington, DC and is now working in Bangkok as an international relations officer in the Ministry of the Interior.

Seung Hoo Lee (Korea '95) and Chie Arai (Japan '95) were wed on April 24, 1999. The couple reside in Tokyo. Evelia Estrada (Nicaragua '96) married Peter Black on July 10, 1999 in Esteli, Nicaragua. The couple now reside near Pittsburgh, PA. Tomoko (Osumi) Tanaka (Japan '99) recently wed Tanaka Katsunori in Japan. She will continue to teach English as a Foreign Language to children after enjoying her honeymoon in Paris and London. She and her husband reside in Shizuoka, Japan.

Gustavo Rodriguez (Venezuela '99) married Emily Hogan, former ELI Orientation Assistant, in Newark on May 15, 1999. The couple reside in Tampa, Florida The Japan ELI/UD Alumni Association held their second annual reunion in Osaka on September 4. ELI teacher Janet Louise, currently teaching at Kobe Shoin Women's College, addressed 32 graduates. With her are reunion organizers Junko Mori and Yoshi Niino. Rumiko Yasuda and Tatsuya Okamoto, who met here in 1995, were married in Japan in August 1999.
