This is the forthcoming book chapter that I mentioned in class
Wednesday, Feb. 26, in relation to developments in teacher education and
licensing that are based on certain ways of thinking about curriculum as
"content" from the disciplines. (this
link jumps to "disciplines" section)

This is 2 reviews (by me and by Cathy
Cornbleth) of a book I described Wednesday 2/26 in class. I will say something
about it Tuesday March 4.

Here's a chapter I wrote that includes discussions of the Pico Supreme Court opinions, as well as Hirsch's "Cultural Literacy."
Here are 3 versions:
- Heteroglossia_a.pdf (850K) This "skinny pdf" file has the text recognized by the Omnipage program.
- Heteroglossia_b.pdf (710K) Here is the text recognized by the Adobe Acrobat program. The Omnipage file is a little better. This one is smaller. If you don't want the huge "fat" file below, you might want both of the "skinny" files because a mistake in one might be correct in the other. (For example, the superscript "8" for footnote 8 is correct in the Omnipage file, but in this Acrobat file it was mis-recognized as an asterisk (*).)
- Heteroglossia.pdf (3.25M) This is the very large "fat" version, which contains both the original page images, and the Omnipage-recognized text in the background.
