1.      What is g? Please be as specific as possible, but concise. NOTE: You are not being ask to describe how it is derived from factor analysis. Rather, the issue is "Now that we have isolated this g factor, what kind of ability or set of skills does it seem to represent?"

2.      Bring one example of a common task from daily life (not school) where being brighter—having more g—would be useful? That is, the task would have been done better, faster, with fewer errors, etc. Please explain why being brighter have helped?
