A Mutual Respect

The success of our mission depends upon an effective working relationship between the Department of Emergency Management and Environmental Health and Safety and the UD community we serve, including students, staff, faculty, and visitors. Critical to this relationship is mutual respect. Therefore, we pledge to respect the diverse needs and interests of the community we serve and we vow to be diligent and relentless in the protection of both persons and property. In return, we ask that our partners in the community assume their individual and collective responsibilities to make the University community a safe place that fosters learning.

The two divisions of the Department include Environmental Health & Safety and the Office of Emergency Management. Each team is staffed by highly trained professionals who are committed to the overall safety of the community we serve.

Please take the opportunity to visit each department’s web site for useful information.

Best Regards,
