Helen’s Party !!

Contact the ~6 people assigned to you on the list Betsy compiled.  If you think of anyone else not listed who it seems appropriate to invite (for example, a one-term student you know of whom we didn’t put onto the list), go ahead and contact them.

From these phonecalls, please get the person’s email and US mail address.  We’ll compile these and send out a more detailed written announcement/invitation with all the information below.  You can go ahead and summarize some of this verbally to the people you call, but let them know they’ll be getting it in written form in the near future.  Give them your name and phone number as a contact.

General information, to go out later in a written invitation sent by email or US mail to all who are interested from the round of phone contacts:

Gift:
· Helen has clearly asked for NO GIFTS (“what is an 82-year old woman supposed to do with more stuff?”)
· She has agreed that we could all contribute to a group-given gift to a cause of her choice.  We are likely to make a  group donation in Helen’s name to the Newark Art Alliance, to support their art instruction programs. Therefore we will be working to collect money from anyone interested to contribute.  Participation in this is absolutely optioinal .  Details how and when we’ll collect these contributions will be included in the written invitation.

Further information or questions:  Please give YOUR name and number (not Harriett’s) to the people you contact!
Remember: get their email and Usmail addresses !!
