External departmental colloquium speakers included Profs. Daniel Quinn, University of Iowa, Jeffrey Moore, University of Illinois-Urbana, Richard Saykally, University of California-Berkeley, Scott Denmark, University of Illinois -Urbana, and Joel Harris, University of Utah, as well as Dr. Steve Ittel, DuPont Central Research and Development. Internal speakers in the colloquium series included Profs. George Luther (College of Marine Studies, Lewes), Steven Brown, Brian Bahnson, and Andrew Teplyakov.
The 24th East Coast Ion Chemistry Conference, held in BRL 101 on 10/19/02, attracted speakers (ion chemists, aka mass spectroscopists) from Ohio State, UMass, SUNY-Buffalo, USIP, Penn State, Merck, Shering-Plough, and the U of D. Topics included aerosols, electrospray ionization, MALDI, gas phase metal ion chemistry, polymers, and computations.
