This educational website (previously called CCRCAT) will soon be re-published with:
An expanded thrust
The goal of the site will be extended to teaching all students the importance of properly applying science and technology to societal issues.
The original goal of teaching students how the technical content of their courses is applied in the working world will remain an important role of the site.
"The CCR Teaching Toolkit"
A series of modules on Risk Assessment are being prepared in collaboration with the ACS Corporation Associates.
Modules will be directed to non-science majors, science and engineering undergraduates and graduate students. A family of modules on each important topic will be written to fit smoothly into courses at specific levels and in specific disciplines.
These modules will serve as prototypes for additional modules on environmental issues, ethics, etc. Lecturers who use such teaching examples, and who are interested in sharing their ideas with colleagues, are encouraged to talk to us. We will be happy to help put material into module format.
