Membership in SECFS is open to all persons interested in any discipline related to the study of France and its colonies in the eighteenth century. Currently, there are no dues, and the Society functions mainly as an e-mailing list. SECFS is affiliated w
ith the American Society for Eighteenth-Century Studies (ASECS),
with which it meets every
spring. It also meets occasionally with other related societies.
