Welcome to the UD SUAPP and BNU SSDPP Partnership Page

In 2006 the University of Delaware signed a general agreement with Beijing Normal University to establish linkages and create foundation for mutual cooperation between the two institutions. In 2009 the UD's School of Urban Affairs and Public Policy signed a supplementary agreement with BNU's School of Social development and Public Policy. This supplementary agreement spells out the terms of cooperation between SUAPP and SSDPP. The two schools agreed to cooperate in the field of student exchanges, faculty/staff exchanges and research collaboration. As the direct outcome of the General agreement and the Supplemental agreement signed in 2009, the Center for Applied Demography & Survey Research hosted 2 of BNU graduate students from the Fall of 2008 through the Spring of 2009. Also, the Center for Applied Demography & Survey Research hosted 2 more BNU students from the Fall of 2009 till the end of Spring 2010. In addition to BNU students studying at UD, 2 graduate students from the School of Urban Affairs and Public Policy's MPA program studies at Beijing Normal University's School of Social development and Public Policy during the Spring of 2010. During the Spring of 2010 the Supplementary agreement signed in 2009 was renewed for 5 years. This provides a foundation for further exchanges and deeper cooperation.
