K-2 students will be able to understand gender in order to explain who they are and understand others. Character’s express their gender through their behaviors and actions which are learned by society. Students will understand gender is a spectrum and they can express themselves however they feel most comfortable. Students will be able to analyze how people’s identities are represented in books.
