Social Studies: Students will understand the nature and uses of maps, globes and other geo-graphics.
Science (K-2): Students will understand there are many different kinds of living things in any area, and they exist in different places on land and in water. Students will understand that all animals need food in order to live and grow. They obtain their food from plants or other animals.
ELA: Students will be able to use the illustrations and details in a text to describe its key ideas. Students will be able to integrate and evaluate content presented in diverse media to include maps. Students will participate in shared research and writing projects.
