<P>The Enduring Understandings for this unit are based off of the Delaware state recommended curriculum for students in grades 6-8 as it relates to the concepts surrounding general history and civics. Following this unit, students will recognize the basic characteristics of the major world religions. They will know that differing belief systems sometimes result in feelings of intolerance and that the actions of intolerant individuals are not conducive with effective citizenship. </P>
