This unit is being written for 1st grade but could be adapted for any other grade. Students will learn how to use the camera on an iPad to take photos that will allow them to participate in citizen science activities. Students will learn some traditional stories of indigenous cultures and how those cultures had a connection to the land. Students will reflect on how stories we tell ourselves impact our way of life. Students will use their photographs to make a connection with the land and help to take care of it.
