Synopsis

Stronger, Better, Faster, Smarter is a two-three week unit designed to help students develop a better understanding of the muscular-skeletal system through the lens of biotechnology. Although created as a supplement to the Science Education for Public Understanding Program unit Studying People Scientifically/Bodyworks, it has applications across the 6-8 grade bands both in life science and in engineering. Students collect information and then create 2 and 3D models of different types of joints in preparation for creating their own prosthetic appendage.
