<Normal xml:lang="EN-US"> This eight to ten day curriculum unit focuses on the motherboard and the many components that connect to it. During these lessons, students will be introduced to the primary part of the computer – the motherboard. Students will quickly see with a little imagination that the motherboard looks like a city. With that knowledge or concept in hand, they will learn what it takes to make this little city run. They will be introduced to many components, and through storytelling, they will create a story in laymen’s terms as a way to remember all of the parts on the motherboard. During this unit, students will do some of the following activities: observe a motherboard, identify, describe and recall components, collaborate and create a story by building a scene, plot and characters out of the motherboard components. Once their story is complete, they will also create a mini-movie to share with the entire class. </Normal>
