Overnight Accommodations

Whether you would like to stay in the residence halls or at a hotel, book your room early to guarantee overnight accommodations during Alumni Weekend.

Alumni Weekend attendees who register for paid events are invited to stay overnight in the residence halls with friends. Each primary registrant may register for a maximum of one dorm room only. You can choose between North Campus or East Campus, each within walking distance to The Green.

You'll even have help moving in! Just as the Arrival Survival Team helps new students move into their dorms each fall semester, the Alumni Arrival Survival Team helps attendees move into the dorms for Alumni Weekend.

New This Year: We know how much fun it is to be close to your friends during Alumni Weekend. To make this easier you are now able to select the residence hall, room type and even the floor you want to be on. Be sure and let your friends know where to find you so they can select rooms nearby. With this new system, we will no longer be able to accommodate individual requests for room locations.

North Campus Suites
Single Suite – $90/night (Sleeps 2: two rooms sharing one bathroom, one bed in each room)
Double Suite – $120/night (Sleeps 4: two rooms sharing one bathroom, two beds in each room)

East Campus Rooms
Room with two beds – $85/night (Sleeps 2: one room with two beds and hallways bathrooms)

Residence hall check-in begins at 3:00 p.m. on Friday afternoon and is open all day on Saturday.

General Information

To see the layouts and types of furniture in various residence halls and rooms, click here. (Please note that only a limited number of the residence hall buildings listed are available for Alumni Weekend accommodations.)

Alumni Weekend guests who register for a residence hall room will receive a room key, a building fob for residence hall access and a lanyard.

Keys will only be distributed to the suite purchaser as well as the designated roommate. Roommates who are not initially identified when registering, can get a key during check-in only if the purchaser is present to vouch for them.

All keys must be returned at checkout. If a guest loses a key, the lock replacement charge is $125. This will be charged to the primary registrant of the room. Charges will apply immediately upon checkout if room keys, access cards or fobs are not returned and they are not refundable. Please keep this in mind when deciding how many keys to request and who will receive them. We apologize for the inconvenience; however, rooms are being occupied by students directly following Alumni Weekend so rooms must be rekeyed immediately, making refunds unavailable.

Changes to your registration: Housing changes to your registration must be made by calling the Office of Development and Alumni Relations at 302-831-2341. We will be happy to assist you.

Linen Packages: Don’t feel like bringing your bedding with you? Linen packages are available for $25. You can order in advance and can be picked up when you arrive. Linen packages include pillow, pillowcase, two sheets, towel, washcloth, bath mat, soap and shampoo. Blankets will be supplied upon request.

Wireless: Both locations offer free wireless access through Eduroam with a UD email address.
