General Information

If you have registered for paid Alumni Weekend events, you're welcome to stay in the residence halls. You'll even have help moving in! Just as the Arrival Survival Team helps new students move into their dorms each fall semester, the Alumni Arrival Survival Team helps attendees move into the dorms for Alumni Weekend!

  • Alumni Weekend guests who registered for a residence hall room will receive a room key, a building fob (for residence hall access) and a lanyard.
  • Keys will only be distributed to the suite purchaser as well as the designated roommate. Unidentified roommates upon check-in may get a key if the purchaser is in person to vouch for them.
  • If a guest loses a key, the lock replacement charge is $125. This will be charged to the primary registrant of the room.

Do I need a rental car during Alumni Weekend?

The Comfort Suites, Hilton, Sheraton, and Staybridge Suites are a 15-minute drive from campus, and not within walking distance to UD. If you decide to stay at one of these hotels, then you would need to rent a car or take a bus to campus.

If you decide to rent a car, please note that parking will be limited in Newark. City of Newark parking fees will apply during Alumni Weekend.
