Kim DeShields, Training and Development Associate

Kim began her career in Human Resources at the University of Delaware in 2004 as a Service Coordinator with Recruitment and Employment and was later promoted to an Administrative Assistant in the Employee Education and Development group.   She has experience in coordinating the logistics of numerous training programs and events for the campus community including administering the Service Awards program and the annual United Way campaign.  She recently began participating in the University’s New Employee Orientation program as a presenter. 
Kim has completed the initial phase of the Women’s Leadership Development Program through the Institute for Public Administration.  She also completed the Leader’s Training for Welcoming Diversity through the Delaware Chapter of the National Coalition Building Institute and the Train the Trainer program through the State of Delaware. 

Kim holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from Wilmington University.
