Attendance:

Because we will be covering a great deal of information, students are expected to attend all classes as scheduled. Missin g one lecture or lab puts you at a great disadvantage. If you should miss a class, it is your responsibility to get lecture notes and copies of handouts from anot her student.

Attendance will be taken at the beginning of each class and lab. Students are to be present on or before scheduled starti ng times and should return promptly from breaks.

Attendance will also be part of your grade. Three unexcused absences will lower your final grade by one whole letter. To avoid unexcused absences, please try to contact me before class. If a project is due before class that you cannon attend, I will expect it at the beginning of our next scheduled class and is subject to penalties as detailed below.

Late Assignments:

Assignments not handed in by the project's due date will be considered late. An assignment that is one day to one week la te will lose 10 points. Assignments that are more than one week late will not be accepted, thus giving you a failing grade for that assignment. Projects that are resubmitted wi ll be subject to the same late penalties applied to the original grade.

If you have processed your film and discovered that the work is totally unacceptable (no exposure, over/underexposed, oper ator error, etc.), hand in your film anyway to avoid late penalties. You will be given a reshoot date for that assignment. If you know that an assignment is going to be late, please come talk to me, and we may be able to make new arrangements.

All assingments must be completed and turned in to pass the class.
