Over the past year both DPT classes have continued UDPT’s tradition of community service, and were involved in a number of community service opportunities:
- Hosted a fundraiser to help Dr. Scholz reach his goal of raising $15,000 to participate in the Ride for the Roses.
- Collected can goods for the Thanksgiving food drive
- Holiday toy drive for Toys for Tots
- Bike to the Bay to benefit the National MS Society
- Gave massages to the cast and crew of Disney on Ice
- Pitt-Marquette challenge
- Relay for Life
- Special Olympics
- Ronald McDonald House of Delaware
- Stroke support group/balance assessment and training
- Scoliosis screenings at Newark Charter School
- 5K run for Scott Mackler to benefit the ALS Foundation
- UD Stroke Clinic
- MS Clinic
- Newark Community Day booth to educate the community about PT
- Sold tickets and worked as spotters for UD's Field Hockey and Lacrosse games
- Students have also volunteered to work with various patients as a supplement to the physical therapy they are currently receiving from UD’s Clinics or as a continuation of their therapy after discharge from PT.
- Stretching of bilateral elbow problem, and providing further consultation and advice in brace options and fitting.

- TBI Patient - Body weight supported treadmill training and gait/balance
- Young stroke patient
- Balance assessment clinic/training at Little Sisters of the Poor Long Term Care Facility.
