BMSC Student wins Clinical Biomechanics Award

Sept 12, 2006. Brian Noehren, PhD student in the Program in Biomechanics and Movement Sciences under the direction of Dr. Irene Davis, won the Clinical Biomechanics Award at the Annual Conference of the American Society. The conference was held in at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, VA.

The Clinical Biomechanics award recognizes outstanding new biomechanics research targeting a contemporary clinical problem, and is sponsored by Elsevier Science, Ltd., publishers of Clinical Biomechanics.

The paper, "Prospective Study of the Biomechanical Factors associated with Iliotibial Band Syndrome", which was coauthored by Drs. Irene Davis and Joseph Hamill will be published in an upcoming issue of Clinical Biomechanics. We congratulate Brian on his accomplishment.
