10:01 a.m., Sept. 24, 2007--The University of Delaware women's soccer team split a pair of game on its Texas road trip, defeating the University of Texas San Antonio 2-0 on Friday before falling to Baylor University 2-1 in double overtime on Sunday afternoon.

The Fightin' Blue Hens are now 4-3 on the season as they prepare to open Colonial Athletic Association play. The Hens will begin conference action on the road this weekend, facing Old Dominion University at 7 p.m., Friday, Sept. 28, and the College of William and Mary at 12:30 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 30.

In the victory over Texas San Antonio, the Hens got goals from Caitlyn Germain, who found the net on a pass from senior Emily Sammis, and freshman Amy Pickard, who scored on a feed from senior Kendall Lytwynec. Junior goalkeeper Annie Beven had seven saves.

Pickard scored the lone goal in the loss to Baylor and junior goalkeeper E.J. Goldman had four saves. It was the first time the Hens had ever played a Big 12 Conference team.
