Spirit Ambassadors encourage school spirit, interact with alumni, support the Office of Alumni and University Relations by serving as student hosts at campus events, serve as an advisory board on student concerns and represent and interact with student groups and the student body.
Interested students should have strong communication skills, a positive and enthusiastic attitude, be reliable, dependable and patient, demonstrate good leadership skills, be interested in community service and have overwhelming pride in UD. To be considered, students must be full-time undergraduates, have a minimum GPA of 2.5, have successfully completed one semester at UD, not be graduating before May 2008 and be in good standing with the Judicial Affairs Office. Strong preference will be given to those who have sophomore or junior standing as of fall 2007.
Applications are available at Alumni Hall, the Trabant University Center, Perkins Student Center, Student Services Building and online at [www.udel.edu/spiritambassadors].
Finalists--chosen by a selection committee made up of student, administrators and alumni--will be notified Thursday, Sept. 27.

New ambassadors will be announced and recognized at halftime at the Homecoming football game on Saturday, Oct. 13.
