Gym Class Heroes Oct. 2 concert tickets on sale
12:01 p.m., Sept. 4, 2007--Gym Class Heroes, the hip-hop group whose hit, “Cupid's Chokehold,” was a Billboard Hot 100 top 5 single, will perform, Tuesday, Oct. 2, at UD's Bob Carpenter Center. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. with the concert beginning at 8:30 p.m.

Tickets are $10 for UD students with ID and are on sale now. Tickets for the general public are $20 and go on sale Friday, Sept. 7.

Gym Class Heroes has been nominated for two MTV Video Music Awards--Best New Artist and Best Group--and will perform at this year's MTV awards ceremony. The group's albums, including The Papercut Chronicles and As Cruel as School Children have gained a cult following with devoted listeners who have tracked the group since its Indie beginnings. Gym Class Heroes has opened for Gwen Stefani, toured with The All American Rejects and played at Warped Tour.

Opening for Gym Class Heroes will be The Pack, a rap group whose song Vans was named one of the best songs of 2006 by Rolling Stone Magazine, and hip-hop disc jockey DJAbilities.
